PSA: Beware Falling iPhones!

A cello that was the victim of a falling device attack

We thought it might be nice to address something that's not often discussed, but that we see fairly frequently in the repair shop: injuries from falling phones and tablets!

We've got these technological juggernauts hanging out in our hands and pockets all day, and it's very easy to forget that they've got enough mass in their little bodies to totally cream a nicely carved thin piece of wood!

These problems seem to happen in all sorts of circumstances: from taking a photo above an instrument, to a tablet with sheet music falling off a stand, to any number of other trips, slips, and oopsie-daisies.

The good news is that your friends here at Denver Violins are always here to help, but the best thing you can do for your instrument it to keep it intact :-)
