A Violin by Giuseppe Stefanini

Giuseppe Stefanini (1908–1992) was a highly regarded Italian violin maker. He trained under Luigi Vistoli in Lugo, Italy, and later worked extensively for the renowned Bisiach family firm. Stefanini moved to Brescia in 1957, and later to Florence, where he worked until his death. His instruments, which include violins and violas, are valued for their excellent craftsmanship and individuality, often featuring full archings and a distinctive yellow-orange varnish. He was a noted figure in modern Italian lutherie.
