Stefano Conia (b. 1946) is a celebrated contemporary luthier based in Cremona, Italy. Born in Hungary, he studied at the International Violin Making School in Cremona, where he later taught for over twenty years. He is known for crafting instruments, including violins, violas, and cellos, inspired by the classical Cremonese masters like Stradivari. His award-winning work features high-quality woods, refined archings, and an intense, vibrant varnish, securing his place in modern Cremonese tradition.
