Joseph Corretelli was a violin maker whose instruments were sold through the major American music houses in the early 20th century, most notably William Lewis & Son in Chicago. Working around the 1910s to 1920s, his violins, such as a 1913 model, were often copies of classic Italian masters like Stradivari and the 1690 Tuscan Strad. Corretelli's work represents a period of American distribution for instruments made in the style of the Cremonese school.
