François Salzard (1808–1874) was a 19th-century French violin maker who established his independent workshop in Mirecourt in 1836. His work is characterized by the Mirecourt style, often using a broad Stradivari model with a dark cherry-red or brown-yellow varnish. He is a prominent figure in the Salzard family of luthiers. After his death, his name was widely used as a trade brand for commercial instruments by major firms like Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL).
