About the Maker

As a child, Sgt. Geoffrey Allison was fascinated by his mother’s violin, but it wasn’t until he was enrolled in the Army that he started to make instruments. Allison was stationed in Iraq as an Army medic, and in the times he was not tending to the sick and wounded, he made violins. Now a well-known and respected maker in the United States, Allison is based out of Washington State and his instruments can be heard in top-tier orchestras around the country!
